Finished glassing the bottom of the lift duct. While we were flipping
the craft top side up, I paused to get a picture of the craft while it
is sitting on the ground.

Turned the craft around so I could attach the duct. It wouldn't fit on the
craft when it was pointing the other way. The duct would have hit the
garage door opener. So we spun the craft around and set the duct on
the back to see if it would fit. That's a big duct!

Finished up the upper duct supports and painted the engine frame. Was
able to get the engine cover mostly completed. The rear part over the
bearings is fiberglassed to the side engine cover panels and the upper
thrust duct supports. The front part of the engine cover is removable.
I will probably hinge it at the top of the seat so I will have a forward
lifting hood. Like a Corvette.

It may seem like I have not been working on the craft, but I have. Honest!
I have been doing a lot of sanding getting the craft ready for paint.
And the craft is offically painted. The inside of the cockpit and the
rudders still need paint, but the rest of the craft is painted. The lift
engine is mounted on the front. It still needs the kill switch and
throttle, but at least it is in the right spot. :)

Cut the skirt from the skirt material. The
suppliers page has info on the best place to get skirt material.

The skirt is on! That was fun installing a couple hundred little skirt
attach screws. With the lift fan mounted and the skirt attached, I had
to start it up. And wouldn't you know it, it hovered! I would have
some pictures, but it was getting late and I was in a hurry. Sorry.

Mounted the windshield tonight. I used the 1/16" Lexan. It is very
flimsy, but once it is bolted down, it becomes sturdy.
