What a way to start December. It was 75 degrees today. A great day
for building a hovercraft. :) I started skinning the bottom of the
craft and installed the final rib.

The bottom of the craft is fully skinned. Now the fun part, taping
all of the joints with fiberglass. You can see my milk jug collection.
The milk jugs are the positive floatation. If the lift system fails
and the hull has been breeched where the craft is taking on water, the
milk jugs will provide positive floatation.

Started skinning the top side of the craft. Notice the 2 inspection
hatches. Got a great deal from Surplus Unlimited listed in the Suppliers
page.

More skinning. The top side is complete, but it needs all of the seams
fiberglassed. I am waiting to install the engine cover sides behind
the cockpit until the duct and the engine stand are mounted. Note that
child is not a pemanent fixture. I did not epoxy her to the craft. :)

Fiberglassed all of the seams on the top skin and the cockpit. I really
hate all of the fiberglass work. :(
