These pictures are of the 3 cylinder Geo engine that
I was planning to use.
Here are some pictures of the Geo engine in various
stages. The carb is a VW Solex PICT30 and the adapter is one of the
first things made on my new mill/lathe. The custom exhaust header is
based off of one that is used by ultralight aircraft running the
Geo. I have the TBI fuel injection, but that will have to wait until
the craft is running.
Here is a picture of the 4 cylinder Geo engine that
will power the craft. This engine has 30 original miles. It came from
from a person who buys new Geos, removes the engines, and converts them
to electric cars.
2/10/2004. Been working on the engine frame. Most
of it is complete. The lower swing arm for the idler pulleys is
missing and the idler/tensioner for the thrust belt still needs to be
made.
3/8/2004.
Paced the engine frame on the craft to make sure that it would fit in
the front mounts.
3/14/2004.
Epoxied the engine mount boards to the hull.
5/26/04
Added the radiator mount points to the engine stand.
